    I'm a beginner with HDR Light Studio, and I use 3DS Max 2023 with V-Ray 6.

From the documentation, I believe HDR LS uses CPU rendering, whilst I use GPU rendering in 3DS Max (either with or without HDR LS).

For me, the future is GPU rendering, so whilst I have good graphics cards (2 x RTX 3090s) my CPU is now around 5 years old.

So, my question is, are there any plans to make HDR LS use GPU rendering? If so, how long could our wait be?

    Many thanks.

There are no current plans Jez to use the GPU. We are happy that you do not need to worry about GPU drivers etc when using HDR Light Studio on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Plus, HDR Light Studio is ideal to use in conjunction with a GPU renderer, as we do not compete for the GPU resources.
